Banco Crèdit Andorrà (Panamá) was founded in 2008 and commenced operations on 17 November of that year. The bank's main objective from the beginning was to provide wealth management by offering clients a wide range of financial services and global financial advice.

Banco Crèdit Andorrà (Panamá) was founded under the laws of the Republic of Panama in public deed number 16146 on 21 July 2008 and operates under an International Banking License issued by the Superintendency of Banks of Panama according to Resolution S.B.P. No.207-2008 of 28 August 2008. This license allows the Bank to direct operations that are transacted, concluded or take effect in other countries and to take part in the other activities authorised by the Superintendency of Banks, all from its offices in Panama.

On 22 July 2009, the Crèdit Andorrà Group was licensed by the National Stock Market Commission of the Republic of Panama under Resolution CMV 236-09 to operate as a brokerage firm through the securities trading company, Crèdit Andorrà Panamá Securities S.A., a subsidiary that provides brokerage and financial advising services.

In order to maximise efficiency and take advantage of the synergies between the two companies, on 30 June 2012, once the pertinent authorisations were obtained, Banco Crèdit Andorrà (Panamá) S.A. and Crèdit Andorrà Panamá Securities S.A. were merged. The Bank, which maintains the brokerage license, is the result of that merger.

The Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crèdit Andorrà Panamá Holding, S.A., a company incorporated in Panama whose sole purpose is to act as a parent company of the Crèdit Andorrà Panamá subgroup and to channel the business expansion activities of the Crèdit Andorrà financial group in Latin America.

Crèdit Andorrà Panamá Holding, S.A. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crèdit Andorrà S.A., a company founded in 1949 in the Principality of Andorra.
